Living with a dark secret inside her, Alice Perle found her path to healing in the shadow of sibling sexual abuse. From child victim to adult survivor, Alice’s story is inspiring and powerful, showcasing the resilience of the human spirit.
Needing to understand the abuse at a deeper personal, intergenerational and societal level, Resolve interweaves Alice’s transformative journey of self-discovery, healing, and reclaiming her life as a confident adult woman with what she learns. Along the way, Alice experiences epiphanies and emotions, from hurt, rage, and grief to discovering the power of affirmation, compassion, and self-love.
Respectfully and sensitively written, Resolve is infused with hope and positivity, offering us a unique window into one adult survivor’s lived experience while informing on a topic shrouded in silence—sibling sexual abuse, a hidden taboo.
